The proposal of constructing the new pattern of dual circulation development is the product of the comprehensive effect of internal and external factors in the new stage of China’s development, which meets the needs of China’s economic and social development. Based on the comparative study of the internal and external circulation development of China and the United States, this paper concludes the similarities and differences of these two countries in the dual circulation development. The similarities mainly include: First, the early export-oriented economy gathered strength; Second, the industrial foundation is relatively solid; Third, China and the US have a strong domestic demand. The differences mainly include: First, the technological strength of the US is superior to that of China; Second, the US has the hegemony of the world currency; Third, the external environment for the development of the US is superior; Fourth, China’s real economy is more stable. Through comparison, this paper finds that: First, the early export-oriented economic development provides the economic foundation for the dual circulation transition; Second, the industrial base is the prerequisite for the positive interaction between internal and external circulation; Third, the huge domestic consumption demand is the driving force for the development of internal cycle. Based on the above research, this paper puts forward the corresponding policy enlightenment....
This paper explores the tax evasion attitudes of taxpayers in Lebanon, a multi-religious country suffering from prevalent tax evasion. The study surveys 359 Lebanese taxpayers to determine the demographic factors influencing their perception toward tax evasion. The study examines linkages between different demographic variables and tax evasion attitudes. The results show that religion and gender are not major explanatory variables affecting tax evasion. Other demographic variables such as age, income, education and employment type seem to have more influence on tax evasion. Findings show that, with age, higher educational and income levels, taxpayers seem to express less favorable attitudes towards tax evasion. Self-employed individuals are also more prone to tax evasion than salaried employees. The study takes into consideration the motives behind tax evasion by differentiating between two types of tax evasion, Justice of Tax system tax evasion (JSTE) which stems from perceptions of injustice in the tax system and Self-interest tax evasion (SITE) which is the result of the desire of the taxpayer to maximize personal benefit. While employment type and education have an influence on JSTE but not SITE, age and income have an impact on SITE but not JSTE which highlights the importance of examining the motives behind tax evasion....
Through quantitative analysis method, this paper studies the effect of highquality economic development in PRD urban agglomeration from five aspects: innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing. The results are as follows: The overall situation of high-quality development has an obvious positive trend. The problem of coordinated development has been alleviated, the income gap between urban and rural areas has been gradually narrowed, the level of green development has been improved, individual cities and prefecture- level cities still face great pressure to control the growth rate of energy consumption, the degree of opening up still needs to be deepened, and the real consumption power of people experiencing shared development has been rising. Therefore, to promote the high-quality economic development of the PRD urban agglomeration in the future, it is necessary to rationally coordinate the synergistic development relationship between different aspects within the system, make up for the shortcomings, and synchronously promote the innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development....
Venezuela’s present economic crisis that began in 2013 has triggered a series of social and political issues. There is a lack of reliable official data to analyze Venezuela’s economic situation. In this study, I use data extracted from the latest brightness of nighttime lights (NTL) image products to create a visualization of Venezuela’s severe economic depression by exhibiting temporal changes in brightness of NTL from 2013 to 2018 of Venezuela....
The issues of studying regional differences caused by the uneven socio-economic development, including in the mortgage lending markets, are quite relevant in the scientific literature. The most effective problem of assessing regional disproportions, according to many researchers, is solved on the basis of constructing various kinds of integral criteria. The purpose of this paper is to develop approaches to the formation of integral criteria in the analysis of regional disparities of the mortgage lending market. The methodological basis of the study was the methods of multivariate regression analysis; its empirical base is the data of state statistics bodies of the Russian Federation, such as Rosstat and the Central Bank, as well as other open official sources. The study involved 85 regions of Russia, which differ significantly from each other in terms of geographical extent, socio-economic, natural potential, national and cultural heritage, and, accordingly, in terms of the level of mortgage development of their own territories. Regression analysis was carried out on large data arrays using the capabilities of the Excel add-in "Data Analysis", as well as the statistical package Statistica. The result was the testing of a new approach to the analysis of regional disproportions in the development of the mortgage lending market using regression models of the main drivers (factors) of the mortgage market development. The novelty of the proposed approach is confirmed by its distinctive characteristics such as the purpose and main tasks solved by its application, the methodology used (basic model), the composition of primary indicators, as well as the level and scope of the methodology, its advantages and disadvantages. It should be noted that the analysis and identification of regional disproportions in development based on the use of the obtained regression models is only one of the intermediate goals that can be solved in the course of the practical use of the proposed approach. It is important that it is the basis for the development of management models for the spatial transformation of regional mortgage markets. The latter is one of the priority areas for further authors’ research....
